That’s what I love about creating home portraits. I’m not just drawing a building. I’m creating a little reminder of the life that happened there.

Once your commission is booked, you’ll send me the photo you’d like me to work from.
3. I create your portrait
I’ll turn your photo into a hand-drawn colored pencil portrait, paying attention to the details that make your home recognizable.
4. Your artwork comes home
Your finished portrait will be carefully packaged and shipped to you, ready to frame and enjoy.

It started with a simple drawing of my home
I started my business with a simple drawing of a home.
It was such a small thing, but it reminded me how much meaning we attach to the places we live. Homes hold birthdays, holidays, ordinary Tuesday nights, growing families, new beginnings, and so many memories we don’t realize we’re making until later.
That’s still what I think about when I create a home portrait.
It’s not really about the house.
It’s about what happened there.
